Overview
Situated in Central Botswana. On the northern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The setting of Haina Safari Lodge is classically African, relaxed and informal. The Main Boma consists of a lounge, dining room, a swimming pool, sun deck, well-appointed bar area decorated in wood and thatch. An adjacent waterhole, where game come to drink throughout the day, allows guests the luxury of game viewing from the boma. Weather conditions and terrain at Haina lend themselves particularly well towards photographic safaris.
Wildlife conservancy consisting of 11,000 HA. The real African safari experienced in semi arid, pristine Bushland and open savannah allows one the opportunity of superb game viewing. Rainy season is from November to March with an average rainfall 450mm. Ave temps throughout the year. Summer Vary between daytime 18-37 and Winter 5 -26%.
Animals found on the reserve:
All animals on the reserve are in their natural habitat. Haina is big cat country. With a number of prides of Lion roaming the area. There are several territorial leopards and cheetahs that also move through the conservancy. There are the usual antelope species especially herds of Gemsbuck, Blue Wildebeest and Eland. Kudu are also plentiful. Wild Dog sightings, brown and spotted hyena.
Birds found on the reserve:
Both migrating and residential species with over 250 species positively identified.
FACTS ON THE ACTIVITIES
Guest’s preferences, weather conditions and seasons are always taken into account when planning guests activities. The times and durations below are meant as guidelines only.
Guided Walks:
Bush Trail - Join the resident ranger and bushmen tracker on a bush trail. Learn more about animal spoor, the vegetation of the Kalahari. Varied lengths and duration depending on the guests physical fitness but anything between 3-5 kilometers
Game Drives:
Game Drives, in open vehicles, are led by an experienced guide and bushman tracker and are offered at sunrise and sunset. Evening sundowners are served with the sun setting over the Kalahari.
Duration and Departure times: The guests preferences are taken into consideration with normal duration of 2 hours. Departure times normally 8am and 4pm.
Night Game Drives:
Departure times at 9pm (after dinner). The African night skies in the Kalahari are spectacular and is a sight one will never forget.
Bushmen Cultural experience:
Haina Safari Lodge is located in close proximity to the ancient mecca of the Bushmen that inhabited the area about 6 000 years ago. Haina is home to a group of Bushmen, who are free to continue their nomadic life or join the experienced staff at Haina. They will share with you how they go about their daily lives, how they search for roots and plants to live on, how to make a fire and do a rain dance.
Quad Bikes:
Quad biking is a novel way to explore the verdant countryside adjacent to Haina Safari Lodge and to view the game and bird life.

FACTS ON FACILITIES AND SERVICES
Dining:
The resident chef at Haina serves three meals a day, with tea and coffee available throughout the day. Special dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.
Splash Pool:
Salt water pool. Size 5x3 meters 1.5 deep end .5 shallow end.
Accommodation
The Lodge accommodates 20 guests in tented accommodation which are all private with their own decks.
The luxury tents consist of a bedroom and en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet whilst the superior luxury tents have thatch roofs, large decks and full bathrooms(shower and bath). All units are furnished in subtle earth tones and dark woods in a contemporary African theme and reflect the bush area.
Tea and coffee(using a gas burner), safes, gowns, fragrant linen and made-in-Africa furnishings. Options of King sized beds with additional single beds in each tent to accommodate children, cotton percale linen with beautiful covers, duvets and mosquito nets.

Luxury tents have either double or twin beds. En suite bathrooms with a shower
Superior Luxury tents: Have either King size or twin beds. En suite bathrooms with separate shower room and bath.
